French actress Camille Cottin, renowned for her roles in Netflix's "Call My Agent" and as the provocative character Connasse, is set to host the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May. The festival, held annually on the French Riviera from May 14 to 25, will feature Cottin as the host for both the opening and closing ceremonies.
Cottin gained prominence in France with her stand-up character Connasse before breaking into international fame with her portrayal of a high-energy, cynical artistic agent in the French series "Dix pour cent," which was adapted in English as "Call My Agent" by Netflix. This success paved her way to Hollywood, where she has starred in notable films such as Ridley Scott's "House of Gucci" and alongside Matt Damon in "Stillwater." She also portrayed former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir in a biopic titled "Golda."
Additionally, Cottin recently appeared in an ad for Nespresso coffee capsules alongside Jean Dujardin and George Clooney. In her latest French film "Toni en famille," she plays the role of a single mother raising five children while managing a full-time job and performing in bars at night.
